Our Story
the creation
We are sisters who have always known that we would create something special and meaningful together- we just kept waiting for life to align.
Eventually, we had a moment- our journeys had taken us to seperate provinces, marriage, miscarriages, children, tragic loss- and it became clear that we had to find a way to weave the time into our current lives- imperfectly, messily, but with great passion and determination.
It is from this intention, of honouring the yearning and complex feelings that arise from being a mother bursting with creative energy and learning how to cultivate it in new ways that motherhood requires us to do- that
The Motherwell Collective came to life.
We are women, mothers, creative beings who love to dig for the deepest and rawest truths of this magnificent and wild journey, and we aim to do that here -
the realness of mothering and creating.
Through the sharing of these truths, we want to inspire, uplift, validate, and recognize in each other what we know is moving through our hearts, desires, and dreams, all the while immersed in the day to day fullness of life with children.
We hope that in small ways, we will help women to remember that their creativity is always alive, even when it doesn't feel that way, even when we must keep waiting- it never leaves us, and the strength we cultivate each day by mothering will only shape it into a more powerful form.
